Claims Procedure for Third Party Cover / Third Party Property Damage or Bodily Injury in a Comprehensive Cover

  1. Please submit the claim form to us immediately after the accident/ discovery.
  2. Attach a copy of the following document:
    • Hong Kong Vehicle Registration Document (Both sides)
    • Driver's HKID Card
    • Driving Licence
    • Any claims/ writs of summons/ letters from any third parties
  3. Do not admit any third party liability without receiving Our prior approval. If you receive any communication in any way connected with the accident, please forward them unanswered to Us.
  4. Sign a Letter of Authorisation to enable Us to obtain the driver's statement from the police.
  5. If the accident involves third party bodily injury, make sure you have reported the case to the police at once and let Us have the police reference number and statement for making inquiries.

Claims Procedure for Damage to your vehicle in a Comprehensive Cover

  1. Please submit the claim form to us immediately after the accident/ discovery.
  2. Attach a copy of the following document:
    • Hong Kong Vehicle Registration Document (Both sides)
    • Driver's HKID Card
    • Driving Licence
  3. Submit all relevant documents you received concerning the claim.
  4. Sign a Letter of Authorisation to enable Us to obtain the drivers' statement from the police.
  5. Your hire purchase company must be informed about the accident if your car is under the hire purchase agreement.
  6. Ask the repairer to prepare a quotation and submit it to Us. No repair works can be commenced before receiving Our prior approval.
  7. We will appoint a loss surveyor to quantifying the damage.
  8. After the damage has been quantified and approved, We will instruct the repairer to commence the works.
  9. After the repair is completed, you have to sign a "Discharge Form" to the repairer to collect the vehicle.

  1. A bad claim record may result in a higher premium at renewal.
  2. Incomplete Notice of Accident cannot be accepted for processing of claim.
  3. Further information may be needed.
